This Vangear T6.1 Kombi camper conversion is designed as a versatile crossover vehicle which is ideal as a family van or for those with lots of people and luggage to carry. There are 5 roomy seats with two individual comfortable seats in the front and a 2 + 1 removable/folding 2nd row in the rear. This set up allows for easy movement from the front to the back seats and the extra benefit of a swivel passenger seat with a table, allowing a sociable area to be formed. This seat conversion uses Volkswagen OEM seats, belts and seat brackets.
This is surely the most practical set up with space for every day life. The 2nd row seats are removable, as is the kitchen pod and bed so you also have a van for work or just moving stuff! Then with the Vangear bed and kitchen-pod you have a campervan for trips and holidays.
We have fitted our Vangear removable Kombi-Bed which has two useful storage compartments on the side and a fold out bed. This retains the full practicality of the boot space for sporting equipment or for work purposes. Fitting onto the side is a Vangear Tailgate-Pod, which is a sliding kitchen with a stove, sink and table.

Our camper pods use unique and original designs and therefore the Vangear campervan conversion necessitated thinking outside the box too. For such a conversion we picked the Volkswagen T6.1 Transporter. The T6.1 is a durable and low depreciation platform that in our view offers significant improvements over the previous versions. Volkswagen put the A team on the T6.1, starting with the T5/T6 platform with its high standards of longevity, VW improved the handling and refinement. With a new front subframe and steering rake the steering and handling is transformed. Adding a better feel for the clutch and brakes, combined with better lights means this is a logical and practical choice for your next campervan to explore planet Earth.
